25% OF THE ACADEMIES SHUT DOWN!
some feels happy, some feels nervous
No more empty playgrounds!
In 2015 September, 25% of the academies in Korea were shut down due to the rule named P.O.E, prisoners of education. The P.O.E planned a strike on September 1st.Based on the survey asking elementary, middle, and high school students about any changes in their house, 45% of the students responded that they have face-to-face talk more and often with their parents than before. Also, the rate of the families visiting family sites increased by 13%. These are the indications of the future changes. We had a survey to children about "Are you happy?" at 2 years ago and 2 months ago. 2 years ago, when the academies aren't shut down, 30% of children said they are happy. However, 2 months ago, after 25% of academy shut down, 78% of children said that they are happy. Also, elementary school 2nd grade, 이OO, the child who went to 6 academies a day before, said
"I'm so happy! I can do things that I want. Also, I can concentrate on the study, because I can rest both study. These days, I love studying." From children's point of view, opinion of studying turns getting better. Moreover, children's faces turn full of laughing.
According to the average of student studying, the score have been increased 8. It is highly increased because they felt fun about the studying.
The happiness index became really high, too. Korea was almost lowest in OECD countries, but after, Korea became one of the most highest in OECD countries.
However, there is a problem. Some parents are nervous because they can't follow the school studying without the academy, and they wants to make their sons one of the best in the world. Some of people are saying that accepting rate for high school will be very low because of this rule.
